A video diary, filmed almost 20 years ago, throughout the gaze of the very young European girl I was at that time, a gaze that doesn’t exist anymore – just as this strange world on the edge to vanish.



Un journal intime filmé il y a presque 20 ans dans une Chine qui n’existe plus … mon journal. C’est à travers le regard de la très jeune femme que j’étais à l’époque que ce film est raconté, un regard qui lui aussi n’existe plus. Je me trouve dans un pays au moment de se lancer dans la modernité. Des voix qui résonnent autrement à cette époque-là décrivent une autre sensation du temps. Le film traite du changement, de l’écoulement du temps, du présent qui prétend se lancer en avant.
